Whether you are a seasoned camper or need to learn how to set up a tent, this will be a memorable part of your Scout’s summer. We have the group campsite reserved for the Pack, and everyone is welcome.  Activities will include visits to Wargo Nature Center and the beach.  There will be time for fishing and biking.  We’ll close out the weekend with a “Scouts Own” outdoor worship service on Sunday.

June: Blaine Festival Parade

posted May 28, 2018, 3:16 PM by Cub Scout   [ updated Jun 18, 2018, 7:22 PM ]

Our big event for June is the Blaine Festival Parade.  This is a chance to be part of a parade, and you don’t even need to play an instrument!  Our Pack walks (and occasionally rides) in the parade with the float we have created, and we share candy and information about Cub Scouts with the onlookers.  While our Scouts have fun, they also get to show the community how much we love Scouting!

This year, our lineup number is C01.  Lineup starts at 10:30 and the parade begins at noon.  Select the images below for the parade lineup location map and a map of the parade route.

Summertime is camping time in Minnesota, and the Northern Star Council opens up its camps to Scouts of all ages.  Resident camp consists of two nights, and a full day of activities, in one of our Council’s 7 beautiful camps.  This is a memorable event for a Cub Scout, and attendance is encouraged (if not this weekend, then perhaps another).  There are still openings available, so please let me know ASAP if you’d like to attend.

Annual Planning

posted May 28, 2018, 3:11 PM by Cub Scout   [ updated May 28, 2018, 3:26 PM ]

Each June all parents are invited to participate in a planning session where we put together the calendar through the following summer.  This is a chance to contribute ideas, or just to come and listen and support someone else’s idea.  Ask your Scout what they’d like to do in the next year and we can figure out together how to make it happen!

Park Cleanup

posted May 28, 2018, 3:10 PM by Cub Scout   [ updated May 28, 2018, 3:25 PM ]

Each spring we serve our community by cleaning up Ham Lake Park.  Bring gloves and garbage bags and we’ll take an hour of our day and make the park a little better for everyone who uses it. Afterwards, we may take some time to have a little fun playing a game.  Be sure to look for the sign near the entrance that recognizes our Pack!

The March Pack Meeting is showman.  Each Den will perform a skit, song, or story for the Pack, and maybe the leaders will have something special too!  We will have awards for those who have completed adventures this month, and talk about upcoming events.
