Service projects are an important part of participatory citizenship, and the Pack has a number of annual service projects that we participate in.
Our April Pack meeting is dedicated to collecting food for our community. We meet with Scouts BSA Troop 506 at the Ham Lake Sportsman’s Club for breakfast and then go out into the community to collect non-perishable food items for the NACE food shelf in East Bethel.
In November, the Pack participates in an evening at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids to package food for starving children all over the world.
The Pack helps our charter organization annually with their pancake breakfast by busing tables helping guests.
Three times a year, the Pack cleans up a local Ham Lake park by removing trash. This is usually followed by a fun game for the Scouts.
Attending worship services in uniform and helping with a part of the service is a tradition during the anniversary of Scouting in February. Our Pack typically participates in a service together at a Scout’s place of worship.
